Traditional Camps

Traditional camps are the most common type of summer camp. Traditional camps can drastically vary in size and location. Traditional camps will facilitate a wide range of activities, including anything from archery, climbing, waterskiing, kayaking and so much more.

Many traditional camps are defined as 'Limited Christian Programming' and 'Limited Jewish Programming' camps. This means they are run by an organization that is affiliated with the Jewish or Christian religion.

They offer a traditional camp experience, as described above, and predominantly serve a Jewish or Christian population of campers. No prior knowledge or experience of religion is required or necessary. While a camp may engage in some religious traditions and practices, they are not the main focus of day-to-day camp life.
