Camp Food

Here's an idea of what you can expect to eat at camp, and how camps handle dietary restrictions.

Mealtime is the most important part of your day and they are even more important at camp. You will need to keep yourself energized and healthy throughout the summer. Camps will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and usually a snack for later in the evening. The schedule of meals varies camp from camp, usually meals are on a 1 or 2-week rotation.

An example of a typical camp mealtime could be cereal and fruit for breakfast, grilled cheese sandwich and salad for lunch, then BBQ for dinner. Evening snacks could be anything from nachos, fruit, to ice cream, or chips (that’s crisps to us!).

If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, we recommend that you communicate this with your camp as early as possible with your camp director, who will give you an idea of what to expect at camp and will communicate it with the kitchen staff.
